Emily’s Workplace Dilemma
Social Conformity: Emily, a marketing manager, was consistently assigned tasks outside her interest area, such as logistics. She accepted these without question to avoid disappointing her boss and to appear as a “team player,” even though she feels drained and unfulfilled.
Authentic Living: Recognizing her passion for creative strategy, Emily scheduled a meeting with her boss to discuss aligning her tasks with her strengths. Though nervous, she shared her vision, which resulted in her being assigned more creative work. Emily felt more engaged, and her team benefited from her renewed energy and natural, creative gifts.

Ravi’s Family Boundaries
Social Conformity: Ravi, a software engineer, frequently visited his family each weekend out of obligation, even when he needed time to recharge. He felt guilty declining, fearing his family’s disapproval, but ended up feeling frustrated and burned out which prevented him from having quality time with family.
